iBar is a threading boutique that has two locations in the East Bay, Walnut Creek and Emeryville. iBar was founded integrating beauty, fashion and culture in a chic, modern and stylish atmosphere.

iBar also features iBar Express, a beautiful converted Airstream that services clientele in the peninsula. iBar has performed exceptional beauty services on more than 500,000 fabulous faces.

The Challenge

Sparq was tasked designing unique content to set iBar apart from it's competitors - from events to videos and everything in between.

Included in the monthly consulting package was development of creative videos and photography, outreach to potential event and marketing partners, and website redesign*. 

Creating content for email and social media was also key to growing loyalty and acquiring new guests. One of iBar's goals was to stay top-of-mind to clients and educational events were an integral part of helpful, unique content.

Managing monthly promotions were integrated into the overall strategy to bring new and returning clients through the doors. Staying on top of these promotions were part of the daily activity between the client and Sparq, making sure that each promotion was clearly visible in marketing efforts as well as communicated to staff in an effective manner.

One of our staff promotions awarded us the PEOPLE LOVE US ON YELP award! Fun to build a little competition around the great experiences our guests had with their stylists.

What We Did

We had successful events with partners such as L'Occitane, SkinSpirit, boutique jewelry and clothing companies, and a fashion stylist. Sparq brainstormed with iBar staff about ALL the details from start to finish - from creative artwork to finding vendors to how to market the event. We followed through to get the maximum number of signups for each. Our big Botox and Brows event with SkinSpirit was a smashing success! 

What We Achieved

Each monthly event was attended by 10-20 people, hitting iBar's monthly goals. It was perfect for the limited space in the iBar salons. Trunk shows had people perusing merchandise for the duration of the events. 

*Currently iBar has the ability to edit the site on their own so the original site may reflect changes since the launch.
