As a web designer, I often get questions about building a website on one of the many "Do It Yourself" web builder platforms, such as Wix. Entrepreneurs (like you!) want a simple solution to market your products and services with the ability to update your blog, messages, and pictures easily...and within budget. Here's my take The post Blogging with Wix appeared first on Sparq Marketing.
Stunning Websites
Wix is a design favorite of mine. You can create stunning websites with their drag and drop interface with no coding skills and little design experience.
Blogging with Wix
Wix brings easy functionality to life for the do-it-yourselfer. This year, Wix Apps added an easy way to start a blog on your site. Ready?? Let’s do it!
1. In the editor, click on the App Market icon.
2. Find the EASY SEO BLOG with Search or just scroll down in All Apps and find it.
3. Select the app and then click the button Add to site.
4. You’ll get a message that a new page has been added to your site with your new App. Go to the Pages menu to select Page Settings.
5. Next you’ll see another message to click to go to App Settings.
6. Here’s where you write you post, give it a title, add pictures, video, or any links, and hit Publish.
7. View your blog post! For SEO tips, make sure your blog title is what your target market is searching for. I’m assuming here that my readers would search for “hawaiian surfer girl” and the’d come across my site organically.
8. Move your blog link on the navigation bar where it fits best.
You can click on the dotted square and move your blog up or down on your navigation bar. You can also click the blue gear icon to change the name of your blog. I’m so original…I called mine “blog.” Simple, so that my readers can find it easily.
9. Wix offers built in social media integration right from the App Settings section. Add social icons to make it easy for your readers to share.
10. You can also edit the Colors and Fonts, Layouts and Pagination, and Manage your posts for extra flexibility with your design.
If you have a Wix blog, share it in comments. I’d love to see it!
